Disparition de l'ancien capitaine de l'Angleterre John Pullin

INTERNATIONAL - La fédération anglaise a annoncé ce vendredi la disparition d'une de ses légendes, John Pullin à l'âge de 79 ans. Il fut talonneur du XV de la Rose à 42 reprises dans les années 1960-1970, glanant même 7 sélections avec les Lions.

John Pullin, légende du club de Bristol (298 apparitions, 11 essais), a marqué son époque en menant la première équipe européenne à battre les trois nations originelles de l'Hémisphère Sud (la Nouvelle-Zélande, l'Afrique du Sud et l'Australie).

One of the most able hookers of his day, he was awarded 42 England caps between 1966 and 1976, the most for a hooker at that time, and seven for @lionsofficial

We were saddened to hear of the passing of former Lions and England hooker John Pullin.

Pullin was one of the all-time great front-rowers. He was selected for two Lions Tours, the 1968 Tour to South Africa and then the 1971 Tour of New Zealand.

He will be sorely missed.
